Veyron funds build-to-suit development of 202,00 sq. ft. hospital for Ochsner Health

NEW ORLEANS-METRAIRE, LA – December 31, 2020 – Veyron has acquired a to-be-constructed micro hospital in Metairie, Louisiana. The new build-to-suit is being constructed on behalf of Ochsner Health. The new facility will be a flagship outpatient hospital. The new hospital is being constructed on the site of the former Sears department store at Clearview City Center in Metairie, Louisiana. The project, now known as Ochsner Medical Complex – Clearview, was part of a broader redevelopment of the Clearview Mall property into a mixed-use destination.
The 202,000-square-foot medical facility was designed to deliver comprehensive outpatient care.
Ochsner has described the facility as a “hospital without beds,” emphasizing outpatient efficiency, advanced technology, and patient-centered design.
According to Warner Thomas, President and CEO of Ochsner Health:
“Ochsner Medical Complex – Clearview represents the future of healthcare – convenient, connected, and designed with the patient experience at the forefront. It also speaks to our commitment to reimagining how we bring care to communities.”
The Clearview project exemplifies Veyron’s strategy of working with mission-driven institutions to deliver customized, modern facilities through long-term ownership models. The firm specializes in acquiring and delivering build-to-suit real estate for leading healthcare, research, and education systems across North America.
The Clearview redevelopment, which includes retail, residential, hospitality, and green space, was developed by Clearview City Center in collaboration with Veyron, Ochsner Health, and other partners.
This transaction underscores Veyron’s role as a strategic capital partner in complex, high-impact developments that align real estate with community-serving institutional goals.
